The country established 281 new international air routes in the last four years
In the past four years, civil aviation has strengthened, adding 438,836 air operations in and out, including charter and regular flights, 46,002 non-regular air operations, and 18,940 operations under special permits.
The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) President, José Ernesto Marte Piantini, provided these figures summarizing his four-year tenure’s achievements. He pointed out that the country developed 281 new routes to different global destinations and generated approximately $49 million in direct and indirect revenue.
A total of 438,836 air operations in and out were carried out through international airport terminals, with an average frequency of 1,275 flights per week to different destinations, under charter and regular flight modes.
